Salerno's Pizza & Pasta

This is the best damn pizza in Oak Park, made by people who really care. Tonight my order was a few min late, and this somehow earned me an upgrade from a single slice to a whole pie. They made it with extra love baked into the crust, too. It was so freakin good that at first I thought they made something special just for me. Maybe they did, but I think you should order the thick crust just to find out. In all seriousness, I have always been a thin crust kinda girl, but you HAVE TO TRY THE THICK CRUST here. Imagine all the goodness of fresh baked crusty bread with olive oil, and then add the extra goodness of cheese and mozzarella on top. I am not sure that does it justice, so just order it already - you will see what I mean.

I LOVE their pizza. I think the sauce is slightly sweet, which, to me, enhances how delicious the cheese is! Plus, when I want "easy cheese" (because I don't want a 1/2 inch layer of solid cheese) there is a nice thin layer of cheese covering the entire pizza. Some places seem to just put a sprinkle of cheese on, and it ends up being mostly just dough and sauce that I'm eating. Bleh. Also, delivery has been fast, and the delivery people have seemed super excited to give me my food.

The chicken and broccoli is outstanding! The chicken: juicy and tender, well seasoned, cooked to perfection! The broccoli (how do they make it taste delicious you might ask?) uhm order it and see for yourself. Time and time again, Salerno's food is nothing less than excellent! Just ate all my food... contemplating ordering some more!

Magnificent! I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and Cheesy Breadsticks. A root Beer and Chocolate Cake. I was able to split this order into two meals. Everything was perfect. Their portions were bigger than what I expected too. Highly recommended!

Salerno's always has the order right, excellent food no matter what dish you decide to go with, and great people. How do you beat fast, friendly, and reasonable price for quality food? Will continue to go back. Thank you!
